Approved-Pending Adoption
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) issued Approved-Pending Adoption (APA) status to the 2020 update of the Huntingdon County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan on February 5, 2021.
Communities are now asked to begin their plan adoption processes.

Between July 15, 2020 and August 13, 2020 we're sharing our Draft Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan and want to get your input. Draft Plan Review Meeting

This meeting will include a review of the information, analysis, and mitigation strategy contained in the Huntingdon County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Risk Assessment & Mitigation Solutions Meeting Notes
Thank you to all who attended the Risk Assessment and Mitigation Solutions Meetings on May 13, May 20, and May 26, 2020. During this meeting, the HMPT reviewed results of the hazard risk and vulnerability assessment, discussed mitigation goals and objectives, provided updates on mitigation actions, and developed new mitigation actions. Meeting minutes are posted on the Planning Documents page here. The Risk Ranking Evaluation Form, Mitigation Action Progress Report Form, and the New Mitigation Action Form are available on the Planning Documents page. Risk Assessment and Mitigation Solutions Workshop
The Risk Assessment and Mitigation Solutions Workshop will be the next MJHMP meeting, which will be held via three teleconferences on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Each teleconference will be held at the following times to best suit availability:

7-8 PM

Kick-Off Meeting Notes
Thank you to all who attended the Huntingdon County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (MJHMP) Kick-Off Meeting on March 5. During this meeting, county staff, municipal representatives, and interested stakeholders provided vital information on changes in hazard risk and local capabilities to mitigate those risks since the last MJHMP update. Meeting minutes are posted on the Planning Documents page here. If you did not have a chance to complete the Hazard-Risk Evaluation Form, the Capabilities Assessment Survey, or the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Survey at the meeting, they are also available on the Planning Documents page. Huntingdon County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Process Begins!
The Hazard Mitigation Planning Process has begun! The Hazard Mitigation Plan serves as a blueprint for reducing property damage and saving lives from the impacts of natural and human-made hazards. The Plan will be updated over the next six months with the first meeting occurring on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 3 PM and 5:30 PM. Please see the project calendar for details.
