Welcome to the online home of the Allegheny County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update. The Allegheny County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update has been granted Approval-Pending-Adoption status from FEMA. Allegheny County Emergency Services is working with communities to get the plan adopted prior to February 2017.

  • Final Meeting Materials Now Online The meeting materials from the June 1 public meeting and the June 2 municipal final meeting are now available in the Allegheny Library. The draft plan will be posted on June 22 for 30 days of public comment. If your municipality has not yet participated, please get in touch with the consultant planners Christine (ccaggiano(at)mbakerintl.com) or Madeleine (Madeleine.Fincham(at)mbakerintl.com).

  • Final Public Meeting and Municipal Workshop: June 1 & 2 Please join us to discuss the draft 2015 Allegheny County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update on June 1 and 2, 2015.The first meeting will be open house style on Monday, June 1st from 2 pm – 7:30 pm at the Green Tree municipal building (10 W. Manila Avenue, Pittsburgh PA, 15220). Come to the meeting and stay as long as you like! This meeting will be open to all: members of the public, municipal leaders, and other stakeholders.The second meeting opportunity is intended for municipal representatives only and will be held from 10 am – 11 am on Tuesday, June 2nd at the Allegheny County Department of Emergency Services Building, (400 North Lexington Street, Pittsburgh, PA).

  • RSVP For the Risk Assessment/Mitigation Solutions Workshops in April The online RSVP form for the April 14 and 15 meetings and office hours is now online at Allegheny RSVPs. Please let us know which meeting you are attending. As a reminder, each municipality in Allegheny County must attend at least one meeting, complete at least one form, and have at least one mitigation action to be allowed to adopt the plan and be eligible for certain kinds of FEMA funding. If you missed the first meeting, you can still catch up! The worksheets and materials are online in the Allegheny Library. Forms can be brought to the April meetings, emailed to the consultant planner at ccaggiano@mbakerintl.com, or faxed to 215-568-1349.
